Romeo and Juliet project ideas needed... 10 pts. for best idea.?
I'm not very creative, and I'm having trouble coming up with things to put on my shield. I was hoping that someone would be able to help me come up with some good ideas. Here is the project: 1. Each student will select a character from the play. 2. Student will create a shield for his/her character from white poster board. 3. Student will select a significant quotation from the play either made by his/her character or about his/her character. It should be cited correctly. 4. Student will then select 2-4 symbols which will represent his/her character. 5. Student will design a shield using the quotation and symbols. Colors should be chosen which best fits the character. I hope that you can give me some good ideas. I'm not asking you to do the project for me. I just need some help getting started. Thank you!!

- Mercutio - Base your shield on the Queen Mab speech. That speach has lots of images you can use. And purple and gold are the perfect colors to represent dreams.
- This is a dumb question and i know that you are not very creative at all!! but i have not read that yet i will read it next year though... which you would know that. But i can tell you about Animal Farm! Mrs. B. taught us about Animal Farm, she taught u too!! you should do it on Animal Farm i like Animal Farm! too bad they didn't have squirrels in Animal Farm squirrels would have made that way better!! i know that u don't like squirrels though so i guess they shoulda talked about cows more u like cows. i know that u like cows you have lots of cows. i hope u like the squirrel socks that i got u for Christmas though. i kinda like squirrels! they r cute! do u remember when all thoughs squirrels throw nuts at us?? that was so scary! then that big rock got thrown at us?? i think it was a sasquatch that thrown that at us. i wonder how much i already wrote? how cares i'm gonnna keep on! i know how about next year you ask me this question i will have read it by then. right now we're only reading Beowulf u guys didn't read that book though, we finally finished it though!! we had Mrs. B. read it to us.. we're lazy!! sounds like u! hey i do know a little about Romeo and Juilet though i do know that they loved each other sounds like you a certain someone!! cough cough! lol and then he thinks she dead so he kills himself and she wakes up and kills herself b/c he's dead! gosh i knew watching Whishbone when i was little would pay off one day!! well i hope u get the answer and get an A (like u always do!! u nerd!) well i might go answer your next question!!
- I loved the play. If I might recomend that you pick Juliet. I pick the line by Romeo twards the end, ascending the steps to lay Paris by Juliet. "Here lies Juliet, and there lies Tybalt. Forgive me, Tybalt. And Juliet , even death could not conquer your beauty. How can you still glow with life in this dark tomb? I drink this to to you, my sweet!" The colors of white with a chalice in the top left quarter would represent the purity and love she feels. The color black in the top right will represent the duelistic reality of the world contrasted to the pure white. A sword in the forground showing that the two families cant get along, the white against black, sword against chalice hard against soft, order and chaos. Then red in the bottom left with a bird, quoting the lark in the morning herolding thier hardships of them parting. the bottom right would be the color green. Mock of the poison on her lips, the jelousy , the greed, the disease that plauges their family(the distrust). A leaf in the forground, the spark of new life after the death, a sprout showing through the ash trodden grounds of the warring families. a new hope. the quotation would go through the center left to right in bold blue(do this first and color around so as not to cover it up) I hope this is of use, I am a junior in high school, but when I was in junior high, I did a project on Romeo and Juliet.
- Romeo And Juliet by William Shakespeare http://www.elook.org/literature/shakespeare/romeo-and-juliet/ I have found 12 summaries for you to look at, click the link below. I have included a short extract to give you a taste of what the reviews have to offer and they’re FREE..!!! Montague's description of Romeo's melancholy fits exactly contemporary ideas of lovesickness. Thus far, Shakespeare is following tradition. His original contribution will come in contrasting Romeo's mooning over Rosaline with the fresh, spontaneous passion which Juliet will inspire in him.
