Would it be reasonable to ask my friend to pay for half of the project expenses?
My sort of friend and I have been working on a project for a Mathe Expo coming up in May. Since I'm the creative one, I've been buying and designing the poster for the presentation. I've boughten the tri-fold poster, gold acrylic paint (which is pretty expensive), multiple glue sticks and two stacks of colored construction paper (also, not cheap). All and all, the receipts are starting to pile up and my family is already tight on money so I think since she's my partner, she should have pay for half of the expenses. Is this a reasonable assumption on my part? She hasn't offered to pay me back so should I just ask her? And how should I ask her? I don't want to sound rude.

- i think that it would be fair since it was costly and your family is tight with money. you jsut have to bring it up in a tasteful way like "umm, the project expeses are really getting to be a lot on my family. do you think you might be able to bring in some money to pay for your half of the supplies? thank you!" and i think she didnt offer first because it never crossed her mind, not because she didnt want to.
- Just think is it fari that u have to buy it all? tell her its her project to and u think she should help with the stuff or u to will have to deal with what u have and it wont turn out that good
- Yeah she should pay for half because your family is strapped and its her grade to!
