what are some good specialty stores with high tech gadgets and unique items?

im not looking for typical stores im looking for the not so typical stores like sharperimage.com stuff similar to that that dont come up on typical searches... thanks

1. You've already found Sharper Image, I would also recommend Brookestone's as another place to look. Oddly enough usually on an airplane they will have a shopping catalog which have these types of items, and it references back to the original vendor so the next time you or a friend take a flight grab the catalog, or contact one of the major airlines and ask for one.
