do you know any good art tricks i could use in my design?

im doing a asesment at the moment where im designing a poster for a art gallery, and you get extra points for trying creative things. ive done a bit of ink splattering ect but do you know any cool things that have worked for you ?

1. Once I did a poster and I was supposed to use dirty type. So I used it and to make it look more like a mistake I made some of the letter cut off the edge and look uncentered. It went along good with the fake ink spots.
