What are the steps to start an website design business?

Hello. I recently moved to Missouri and haven't had much success finding employment. I have an undergraduate degree in the middle of obtaining my masters. Since, I haven't found employment; I thought this could be a perfect timing to pursue one of my dreams. My dream is to own a business. This business would involve the many technical/business/creative talents given. However, I have so many ideas but confusion where to begin. I believe my business would help many in this particular area of Missouri creating a successful business. If you have any advice, my ears are open. Be bless.

1. it is good to hear when people would do something to help others. so i will try to do my part of it based on my experienced online for quite sometime. 1. to many things distract you from focus on your work. 2. online full of people looking for you to spend your money. if it helps that's good if it is not then who's to blame. 3. internet is an open market. everyone could compete. if we have few money how could we possibly compete with people with tons of it. 4. if your business means online biz then for the biz to succeed for long term period it must consider free (organic) search engine traffic seriously. 5. if it is related to search engines then it got to be about having a business website. So you need the knowledge to let your website search engine friendly. it is not an easy thing if you have to get things from to many sources from all over the place. you must buy this and that. get support for this people get support from that people. 6. 90% of online biz failed within 5 years. so do you want to wait for 5 years to see whether you will fail or start confidently with real support from real people who really concern about your success. it is not easy to make money doing online biz. but if you show the willingness to learn and do the work what is necessary out of you then people will help you with their knowledge. we could only give steps but you need to take the action yourself. 6. online biz related to your own passion has higher probability that it will succeed. 7. so based on that online info i would recommend the following resources.

The counselor at SCORE will most likely advise you to write a business plan which is very good advice because it will force you to dig out all of the start up details and the costs of starting a website design business and force you to also understand all of the aspects of this business including the customers you'll concentrate on (your market ) and how you'll go after them. You'll need to register the business with your state controller's office and make sure that you have any city and county licenses if any are needed where you live.
