How do narrow down and decide what I want to do?
I am a multitalented person- I often get myself into trouble by being involved in so many different things. I study architecture, art, marketing, design, writing, research, gallery management, business, I am a musician, poet, technical writer, graphic designer, artist, builder, student, I fix and reupholster furniture, I sew... The problem is that I am still in school- -I have a variety of talents and skills- the thing with them all is that they are all creative things- but I can't narrow it down and decide what to dedicate my time to in order to accomplish any big goals I set for myself. I have too many of them. I want to start my own architecture firm like skylab and take on my own projects- but the way that that happened was from having lots of money to initially fund an investment that would eventually create revenue to start my own projects. I try to believe I can do anything and that there are no obstacles in my way.I can't nail down the practicals...What am I doing wrong?

- woa woa, calm down, life is short, but there is time. You need to prioritize though. What do you want to do first? Architect? That takes several years of focused study at an institution of higher learning. You can be an artist in your spare time if you don't consider architecture already a form of expression, but as for being a technical writer, reupholsterer, builder, graphic designer... etc. (which by the way, are these hobbies? or did you go to school to do them already and have done them professionally?) anyway, you can't expect to do them all at once, there just aren't enough hours in the day, and no boss is going to hire you to work four hours a day so that you can then go to one of your other 8 jobs. What you can do, is pick one, focus on it, keep expressing your creative side, work the job for a while and if you still want to, move on. Or, if you're independently wealthy already, be a life long learner and just keep learning. Cheers.
