If you have an idea for a new product, how do you scope out a way to market it without giving your idea away?
Can you patent an idea? Do you have to create a prototype? Is there a place that buys ideas for inventions and products? I've been a child care provider for over 30 years and every time I think of something that would be helpful with children, I end up seeing something like it on the market thereafter! Could have been me with the innovation but I don't know where to start. Help!

- i can give you my contacts. although i haven't met with them, yet, they are companies that say they sign documents with you first thing to protect your ideas while they check them out. i would think if it's something like a few of mine that you could make one at home and show it, or at least make a sketch showing how it would work. that would have to be a plus. but if it's an idea, like some of mine, I'm thinking i have to do some research in order to have documentation that there is a need for my product. here are two names and numbers you can call. I've spoken with one of the head men, who seemed sincerely interested, and the secretary, Ellen, at the other one was very helpful and encouraging to me. 1) first choice exec/ 1-760-510-5900 2) innovative patents/ 1-714841-6279 be ready, because they'll make appointments for you right away! good luck 'fellow entrepreneur'. maybe you can let me know how they worked with you? todonnakaye@yahoo.com i am in no way affiliated with them. my insomnia just has me awake still at 5am, so i was here to answer your call for help !
