Can you recommend a good romance novel that revolves around cooks, chefs, kitchens and food please?

It may be a birthday present for a female relative that likes to read and cook.

  2. The Art Of Undressing by Stephanie Lehman. Very good.
  3. sophie kinsella's 'Domestic Goddess.' :)
  4. Try Like Water For Chocolate by Laura Esquivel which centers around Mexican cuisine, or Crescent by Diana Abu Jaber for Middle Eastern. Both are romances.
  5. Jerrilyn Farmer writes mysteries about catering and Diane Mott Davidson has a catering business and she solves murders as well. She has recipes in each of her books.

The Cereal Murders 4. The Last Suppers 5. Killer Pancake 6. The Main Corpse 7. The Grilling Season 8. Prime Cut 9. Tough Cookie 10. Sticks and Scones 11. Chopping Spree 12. Double Shot 13. Dark Tort 14. Sweet Revenge Hope this Helps :D
  7. There is a movie called "No Reservations" which was okay. With a gift card attached or as part of a little food basket it would make a good gift. A top notch female chef's life is turned upside-down when she must care of her niece after her sister is killed. She now has to adapt to a different lifestyle and uses food as a means to express her roller-coaster life.
  8. "Last Bite: A Novel of Culinary Romance" by Nancy Verde Barr http://www.amazon.com/Last-Bite-Novel-Culinary-Romance/dp/1565124952/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1212677492&sr=1-1 "Barr, a former culinary TV producer for Good Morning America, a cookbook author (Make It Italian) and a former executive chef to Julia Child, novelizes her background and expertise. Casey Costello is an executive chef at TV newsmagazine Morning in America in New York. After her relationship with a dentist goes awry, Casey moves in with her food-loving Italian family. Despite eating well, Casey's cynical attitude toward men remains, even when Danny O'Shea, a chef from one of New York's hottest new restaurants, makes a guest appearance on the show—and makes it clear he's interested in her." "The Marriage Test" by Betina Krahn http://www.amazon.com/Marriage-Test-Betina-Krahn/dp/0425196453/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=121It's hard to imagine the culinary offerings of the High Middle Ages tempting the modern palate, but the golden pies and savory pasties that Krahn (The Wife Test, etc.) lovingly describes in this spirited romance will make even the pickiest eater salivate. Julia of Childress, a young chef for the Convent of the Brides of Virtue, has found her calling-bringing people joy through her delectable dishes. Her food even beguiles Griffin, the count of Grandaise, who's afflicted with a keen sense of smell that renders normal grub unpalatable. Deciding he must make Julia his cook, Griffin pays the convent a grand sum and promises to return her after a year so that she can become a nun. Julia, however, intends to seduce Griffin with her succulent roast meats and spicy pies. Although it's implausible that a man would be so taken with Julia's food that he would whirl "giddily" and bow to "his piece of pie before each new bite," readers will take these moments of comic absurdity in stride" "Reckless Appetites" by Jacqueline Deval http://www.amazon.com/Reckless-Appetites-Culinary-Jacqueline-Deval/dp/B000O6I5SE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1212678109&sr=1-1 "A contemporary young cook, who looks to the lives of her favorite writers for direction in love and in cooking, plans a seductive meal out of the pages of Colette, in a novel that includes fifty recipes."
