If Obama is elected, will we have to open soup kitchens across the country?

Soup kitchens for the wealthy, that is, who cry about having to pay so much in taxes. (I'm pretty well off myself, but I don't complain about paying my fair share of taxes* or having them used to help others who haven't been as fortunate as I have.) How on earth will these poor souls pay for all their homes and Mercede's if they lose the huge tax cuts handed to them by George Bush and the Republican congress? Why should they have to help those who aren't as fortunate as they are? Let the bastards get a job - those homeless kids, paralized veterans, workers who've been sold out by their companies... * Note: At a convention, Warren Buffet offered * One Million Dollars * to any CEO who could show that he or she pays a higher tax rate than their secretaries do. No takers. Kevin Coughin... You need to read, my friend. Racist bastard? I am a strong supporter of Obama, not because of his race but because he offers us a change, and hope for the future. Read the entire question before jumping to conclusions.

  1. you can't predict the future
  2. probably, with 2 ppl for 1 bowl because we will be in such dire economic straights
  3. You racist a**hole.
  4. Yes, that's because he is a Democrat. Go Republicans!!!
  5. I rate this attempt at whipping up some class warfare a 3 on a 10 point scale. Very feeble indeed.
  6. That's what I was thinking, anyone for a cup of "Bama soup?"
  7. I dont think Obama is going to win at all, it is a good chance Icky Hillary is going to win!?!!?!??! (I dont like her)
  8. Yeah what a tragedy for the rich folk. What I want to know is when are we going to open real soup kitchens for real hungry people? I mean I don't want or need any handouts but I don't mind sharing what I have with those that need it, and there are those that need it.
  9. Good post, I couldn't agree with you more.
  10. It's so true, the Republican Party is just a bunch of wealthy business men as part of the good 'ol boy network. So corrupt... At least the Democrats try to help the middle class and level things out...
  11. I agree...I certainly don't mind paying a little more if it means our Country, as a whole, will be better than what it is now! Greed has just gotten way too out of hand in this Country....
  12. What a shame. The party may be over for the wealthiest individuals and big corporations.
  13. Anytime you have a country of 200 million people and roughly 1 to 3% of that population control the resources, there's something terribly wrong with that !
  14. i dony know but obama should be president cuz,,,,,,,, 0BAMA ROCKS!!
  15. Maybe, but it would be really fancy soup, no Chunky Soup for the wealthy. People will also be able to donate money to buy them Nordstrom's gift cards. No Wal-Mart gift cards will be accepted.
  16. Good info coming from a republican and I do not believe Obama has the experience to run the Country so yes we may all be in soup lines Hillary needs to take command
  17. No,we'll need them for the working people after the last business or industry is run out of the country.
  18. Don't worry, Obama can only win if the majority of people in this country are as dumb as you. Hopefully, that isn't the case.
  19. You are missing the point. It's not about how much taxes we pay, it's what happens with those tax dollars. Do you honestly think that th ecurrent crop of Democrats will spend our tax dollars any better than the GOP? Get real, both parties just divert our tax dollars to support the companies & organizations who fund their campaigns.
  20. If we vote for another Republican or an inexperienced person, like Obama, it just might be necessary.
  21. The rich need the Money! More on top tinkles to the bottom!
  22. You can always send extra. No need to tap everyone else for your philosophy.
  23. I actually read you whole message, and I couldn't agree with you more. There is nothing wrong with the wealthy contributing a little more for the greater good of the country. We are turning into an elitist society and we are better than that.
  24. lol, Don, you crack me up. I'm well off too, and I don't complain about paying my fair share of taxes either. I paid more in taxes last year than my total salary my first year out of college, but I'm not in danger of going hungry. Not in danger of being able to afford a Mercedes, either, but that's okay. :)
  25. Oh you poor souls how many of you returned any of the rebates that GWB gave a few years ago. You are just as bad as the rest of of us because I know you didn't reject any of the tax cuts either.
  26. This post is great! Thank you for realizing even though some have money that does not mean we should forget those who don't...My husband and I are pretty well off also but we always try to help if we can...
  27. Too everyone who responded before me, you mean you actually understood the question?
  28. Yeah.... they will be serving New England clam chowder, with a side order of cocktail shrimp.
  29. I can assure you that in my gated community there will never be a soup kitchen. All 47 homes are owned by Republicans and at our last HOA we took a vote to keep the degenerates out at ALL costs. The Lord looks after His People (Republicans & Christians) and that is why we will never have to clip coupons or give up our vacation homes. You live RIGHT and you are rewarded. As for the DEMONcrats well too bad for them!
  30. Those poor souls sold out by their companies who used a thing called NAFTA to move these jobs.Which Bush was it that delivered NAFTA to the People?Oh I'm sorry it was a Clinton. One of your own sold you out and with the blessing of the Unions. So do you pass on all of your tax loop holes you should have if you are truly as wealthy as you say.Pay the max amount my friend help your fellow man.
  31. This rant (since this is not a question and violates Y/A TOS) makes it obvious that you don't know what you are talking about. You are simply spewing back that same tired class warfare rhetoric you read on some blog. Your whole "tax cut for the rich" observation has been debunked by anyone with a room temperature IQ, so I doubt your assertion that "you are well off." If you are, then why don't you kick in some extra money for the "poor?" You sound like somone whining because they are simply jealous of those who are successful. That "Warren Buffet" line is urban legend. Cite a source. I'll be waiting. He might be able to win that bet with someone who is an investor and has no other income, but not with anyone who earns a salary. The AMT preludes that possibility. I've included the 2007 Federal Income Tax Tables for your edification. You sir, are wrong.
  32. Caviar kitchens, maybe...
  33. Thank You.... So I am confused....Is Clinton the answer? I kinda think so I work FULL time, I have NO dependents, so i claim 0, Not only do I pay the max - i make 9 bucks an hr mind you, have a truck loan and pay 1000 a mo rent- I still get the PURE PLEASURE of owing the IRS like 700 a year.... What up with that, i make too much to get assistance for food, too much for medical or dental, But I am in over my head COMPLETELY!! I don't see DR.s or dentists, and had to go off my bi polar meds cause I cant afford them....THIS NATION NEEDS BIG HELP!!!! I wish I could go to Canada....Anywhere but here!!
  34. cool cite: (I looked it up now that you mentioned it) eg: http://www.blueoregon.com/2007/10/warren-buffett-.html * Note: At a convention, Warren Buffet offered * One Million Dollars * to any CEO who could show that he or she pays a higher tax rate than their secretaries do. No takers.
