What is meant by the term "country kitchen"?
Public Comments
- To my knowledge it means like southern, homemade, "country" type food. Its an old term but I guess it could be used now a days.
- Generally, it's a large "eat in " kitchen - a kitchen with enough space to accomodate a table and chairs for 4 to 6 or more. Most are "L" or "U" shaped.
- i believe originally in the 50's it was birch cupboards, with the hinges showing -usually brass type. but today it can mean old fashioned homey type of kitchen, cafe curtains, and mabey w/ little geese or cow knicknacks
