- My husband is a carpenter and we put oak on the edge of our countertops, and in the houses that he builds. It puts an expensive looking touch to the kitchen countertops.
- there are so many. alot of it depends on what type of top you are looking at. If it were a laminate countertop, the cheapest edge is a waterfall edge or the no drip edge (raised front lip). I think the best looking edge is the diamond top though. It uses too different colors on the laminate top. One color for the flat top and another can be used on the bevel. If your going with a solid surface type counter top like corian, there are over a dozen differnt edge profiles you can choose from. Because it is an acrylic surface it can be molded to just about any designed edge you desire. I would check with a local dealer such as my company (Hannapel Home Center) if you live in the SW michigan area. If not visit any kitchen shop.
- What type of countertops are they? Laminated Plastic? Marble? Tile? Please provide more information and I will be happy to help you.
- We have a bullnose edge on our Corian surfaces. No sharp angles to avoid.
