Hoping to buy a new kitchen.Been given quotes from Moben, Magnet and Ikea. Who do I choose?

Has anybody had bad experiences with any of these companies?

  1. Moben is the best....
  2. Well of the three IKEA have the best reputation in terms of not being featured on consumer progs. and feedback from customers. But all of these suppliers are very expensive in comparison with prices of local suppliers, ask around for who is good. I did this and saved thousands on Mobens price, kitchen is still good 9 years later.
  3. all good but get a completion date in writing, if its a self build make sure you have all the bits before you start, as this gets annoying if you have to wait or they say the design has changed and they charge more to get a fitting for the one you originally bought. magnet are bad for this, not fitted an ikea but have seen them, retired builder with about 600 kitchens fitted, to boast, built my own from scratch in my workshop. after all the problems i encountered over the years.
  4. I've always either fitted my own or used an independent fitter. Have any of them come up with an 'idea' that you cannot live without? You might take that idea to a local fitter, who would be able to use a 'trade' kitchen supplier (Howdens as example) to do the same at a better price. http://www.the-kitchen.co.uk/
