Has any one got a recipt for a ikea kitchen?

We bought a kitchen in January and have lost the recipt. The council wont compensate us for the kitchen unless we have a recipt! Even though they can clearly see wi've put a new one in. We have phoned Ikea and they are unable to give us a replacement recipt! The council DOES compensate people for improving there properties. Maybe you should have more of an idea what your talking about before making snide comments...Would you like there phone number, you could call them yourself And your comment about the "rate payer" paying...The council we're going to fit a new kitchen anyway. We saved them a job.

1. how did you pay for it? if it was credit card, you could prove it by the statement

3. i've previouly answered this - why are they compensating you? Council kitchens are fitted by councils - if you want to refurb, that's up to you. So, why do you REALLY wnat the receipt?
4. I cannot understand how Ikea would not re-issue a receipt. You can use a bank statement but that will only show payment to Ikea not what it was for. Why are the council paying for the refitment. You live there and want it refurbished surely it is down to you to pay, not the rate payer.
5. your bacnk statement or credit card statment should have your payment on there. If not try going to the ikea store and have them look it up again, but go in person. good luck
