  1. go to home depot and get the stuff yourself. it could be done pretty cheap.
  2. Do it yourself ! you know what to do it looks like so do it yourself or get a do it yourself book for free at your local librairy !!! why ? If someone else does this it will cost alot of money, and you probably need to save your money, evryone these days aren't doing so well financially. Debbie
  3. why dont you ask IKEA??? I am sure they will tell you what you should do.
  4. it's possible to get the painting done by someone else, but not recommended (it's IKEA after all) just wait and invest in a better IKEA set, later. (Hmm, heard that somewhere before...) ;^} There are handymen out there who could do the job, but it's this talk you make of it being a hassle to do the job yourself in your apartment that is the key to the issue, I think. Quality refinishing work is a high-wage per hour endeavor and by the time you have someone out to your place to remove the table from your apartment, haul it to a studio or workshop, re-finish it there, and then haul it back to you... Let's just say that that idea could easily run you well over twice what you originally paid for the set, just for the refinishing work alone. Again, it's IKEA, and that means intended to be affordable. If you can work youself up to letting it go, sell the table and chairs on Craigslist and get the buyer to come pick it up themselves. Then use that money to help defray the cast of getting a new set from IKEA, updating your dining room... There's alway's the pleasure of shopping, that way...
