Looking for a good recommendation for a kitchen/cooking picture book?

Hi everyone, My autistic son (11) has recently completed a semester of cooking classes at our local community college and *loves* it. I would like to get some picture books to assist him in practicing his words. I've always liked "Dr. Richter’s Fresh Produce Guide" offered in our grocery store, but wanted to know if there was anything else available--preferable a series, so we could later move on to herbs and spices, things like that. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.

  1. The 'Americas Test Kitchen Family Cookbook' is great. When I moved out my father, whos been a chef for 30 years, got this for me. It has lots of great illustrations and tells you clearly how to do everything! Best cuts of meat, what knives to use for what. Basic cooking tecniques and lots of recipes! I love it!
