Oblivion Unique Items Knowledge Base

Oblivion: Do items level with you? I'm playing Oblivion until Skyrim gets patched up some more and I don't want to enter the oblivion gates or do Shivering Isles because of the unique items, unless they level with you? On the Wiki the unique items have levels and the higher level the better enchantment so they do get better but not getting them yet I am just not sure if they level with you because some say yes and others say no.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion on PC help. Lost all items, spells, quests.? I have played Oblivion for a long time, and I decided a couple weeks ago to start a new character. I got him to level five with a bit of playing here and there. I do have some mods, Mart's Monster Mod and Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul, Unique landscapes, streamline, operation optimization, Darnified UI, and a few others... but i have used them without issue before. All of a sudden I am trying to sell things in the Gilded Carafe in the Imperial City, I go outside, and my game crashes. I am used to occasional crashing, so I start my game back up. Boom. No items/spells other than the default starting ones, all skills are back at their default starting values, my items are gone. But the places I have been to still show that I have been there, but all my quest progress is gone, and no NPC's have any dialogue options. Obviously something bad happened because all my saved games have the same thing happened to them. Now I know this seems a bit too advanced to be asking on an open cesspool of a Q&A board, but I'm hoping a fellow night owl gamer with some experience in Oblivion problems can help me regain all my really cool lost equipment. Please help =\

Elder Scrolls:Oblivion Best Thief Bow and Armor? I have thief build and am currently at level 25. What are some of the best light armor and bows for a thief/ stealth character, including unique or enchanted items?
Dark Brotherhood quests in Oblivion? Are there things I should be aware of before I start doing the Dark Brotherhood quests in Oblivion? Like, will there be a quest to kill someone that will allow me not to advance further in a Guild or Faction or that will take away an opportunity to acquire a unique item?
anyone seen this great Elder Scrolls: IV Oblivion code? this is a CHEAT to make infinite copies of items. not let me warn you first off that this does NOT work with every single item, but indeed with most. first, make sure you have the item you wish to copy in your inventory (lets just assume that this is a potato). next, make sure you have a bow and a supply of arrows equal to the amount of copies of this potato that you want. ok, so far so good. next, draw back the bow to full draw, and without letting go, go to your inventory screen. now try to drop the arrows you are using and have equipped. you should get some error messgae. that is good. now, go to the potato and drop it. you should be able to drop the potato. now, exit your inventory screen, and watch as the arrow you fire hits the potato and it explodes into many many potatos (if you were carrying many many arrows). this works with most items, but not all. it even works with a lot of unique items. this cheat works with both the 360 and computer versions. and have fun, i did
I need some help with The Oblivion TES4 construction set? I am currently working on a mod in which i have created an island in the middle of a lake. I need to make unique cuirasses for the guards on my estate but i don't know how to alter the look of an item. I need to change the color on something.
Skyrim DLC ideas????? Does anyone have any cool ideas for skyrim DLC or what they think we might be getting? I have three big things I want to see. Number one: Falmer DLC, I love fighting the falmer they are really creepy and mysterious and I feel like I'm in the mines of moria from LOTR whenever I'm in blackreach fighting them. I think it would be awesome if they had like the falmer amass an army and come try and take over the surface. Think like the Locust from gears of war. And I would want to be fighting tons of them at a time in like big battles. Also if they do that I would want them to like make it seem really doomsday like you know? Like with the whole dragon thing it was oh the worlds ending! But it didn't really feel like that you could just ignore the main quest, with my idea it should be like the falmer take over a bunch of the main cities and push back all the survivors to a few small towns or a city. Number two: Thalmor DLC, like travel to the summerset isles and fight a giant war against the Thalmor. Number three: More Epic quests and items, one of my big problems in skyrim was the lack of Epic quests and items, Morrowind and oblivion had much more epic quests. Like I want to go on some like crazy long epic quest like scaling mountains and fighting hordes of enemy's to retrieve some like amazing epic powerful weapon. There are lots of unique items in skyrim but I mean nothing that is like crazy powerful. So what do you think of my ideas and please post yours
Problems Regarding TES4 Oblivion Downloadable Content? I downloaded the Battlehorn Castle DLC from xbox live a while ago. I completed all of the quests that involve it and I moved all of my unique weapons and armor into the castle. However for reasons I can't explain, the download was erased from the xbox's hard drive. I redownloaded the content, but will my items still be in the castle? Also, will the quests still be completed?
which games can i mod on with my transfer cable and not be banned from xbox live? i want to mod for good reasons and not for a skill boost. i play computer games like oblivion and add mods that make the game more interesting, in oblivion i have over 50,000 new unique items with quests to get them. i dont want to here about how i dont have any skill because i mod to be good at a game. news flash, i DONT mods can be abused to do such but i dont abuse the mods, i simply want to play more realistic and more fun experiences online games i play: borderlands waw, nazi zombies fallout 3 oblivion mw2 star wars the force unleashed in addition please include in your aweser if there is a program to go undetected i know there are, read an official form about modding, there are millions of undetected modders. btw i know mods can be used and undetected because i have borderlands guns that are modded like crazy please understand that even though 9/10ths of modders abuse there power, i would not like to
Why don't developers make a game as good as Morrowind? I'm serious, I miss when they used to create games that didn't need online or dlc to be fun, back when MMO's weren't such a big deal. I remember playing Games like Morrowind as a kid and I remember putting around 400+ hours into it and getting my character over level 30, finding most of the unique items and cool decorations to place in my house and what-not, and the house I was using was a mansion full of monsters in a desert town and there was very little light so I had to set up candles in the dark corners and such. I just miss the replayability of games like that, in fact I only played as one character the entire game which was a Khajiit Barbarian and never got bored of him, I ended up losing the game while moving to a new house with my family after a year or two sadly but guess what... I recently bought another copy of the GOTY edition of it and have been playing it for over a week straight on the exact same character, that's a quality game! I know there are games like Fallout and Oblivion but none of them are nearly as complex as titles such as Morrowind, I tried Baldurs Gate but it didn't even come close and I hated the linearity of it. I know there are a lot of bugs in the original Morrowind but the GOTY has very little, I have had no freezing or corrupted saves at all and the file is basically a decade old with over 700 blocks of memory! Also I know that Skyrim is coming out but I don't have high hopes for it, yes I will buy it but I highly doubt it will even come close to Morrowind, from what I have seen it has good graphics but lacks depth which is similar to Oblivion, I don't really care about graphics unless the game is actually interesting if you know what I mean... On another note... why do people buy crap like WoW and Call Of Duty, they are just supporting the dumbing down of Video Games for profit. I mean yes I tried WoW back in 2005-2006 for almost a year, hit the level cap, did a few raids, etc... but it wasn't that much fun at all the only reason I even stayed for 7 months or so was because my friends played and kept begging me to play, it had no depth at all! And for Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2+Black Ops where do I begin... Well I got both from family/friends, one on Christmas the other for my birthday... I was excited at first but after playing through the short and uninspired campaign I decided to try online, well it was really ehh... boring? I would run around maps exchanging headshots with people, when I died I would magically come back to life again and get a kill then die again, I actually signed up for xbox live for a month to play them! Nevertheless I traded both of the games off and bought Fallout New Vegas for the money which was much better and I spent about 40 or so hours on it and was never bored until the end which is better than most games. So all in all... who is sick of the same junk being developed over and over, and who wants an intellectually deep and long game to come out someday that lets you actually edit it?
Oblivion Console Commands Help? I've been having fun on my newly installed Oblivion for my computer, but I was somewhat irritated when I found that I'm stuck with a unique-leveled armor which has some rather impressive enchantments, but it's the lower version of what I could've got, so I looked into using console commands to get the correct set of armor since I'm stuck with this one currently, only to discover that the Base ID of the item was xx0020A4. I researched into how to decipher what the xx should be for my game, but I just can't figure it out, specifically the item is part of the Morag Tong set from the Mehrunes' Razor expansion. Any Oblivion mod/console geniuses able to help me out? I'm too far past the point to get another Morag Tong Cuirass without console commands. Thanks in advance, Chaseung. Already tried the unofficial elder scrolls wiki, the explanation it gave was far too complicated.
OBLIVION ELDER SCROLLS QUESTION ABOUT MAGIC? 1st my character info then the question at the end Race: Nord Birthsign: The Warrior Class: Knight Level: 41 Strength, Intelligence, Willpower, Agility, Speed, and Endurance are all maxed at 100 Personality 84 Luck 52 Master Skills: Blade Block Hand to Hand Heavy Armor Illusion Armorer Athletics Alteration Conjuration Mysticism Sneak Expert Skills: Speechcraft Destruction Restoration Acrobatics Security Journeyman Skills Blunt Light Armor Marksman Apprentice Skills: Alchemy Mercantile Health Max is 559 Magica Max is 416 (With Enchantments See Below) Fatigue Max is 400 Max Load (Weight) is 500 Normal Enchanted Stuff I Wear That I Made: --Full 6 piece Daedric Armor w/ full Fortify Magica Enchantment on each piece --2 rings and 1 necklace with full Fortify Magica Enchantment on each piece The Question: Okay, with that said, I have been trying to work on my magic skills so I can become more like a battlemage. What I want to do is decrease the amount of time it takes for my magica to recharge. I can make some other enchanted items to replace my current enchantments if it will work to make it recharge faster. I know willpower is supposed to decrease the amount of time it takes for your magic bar to recharge but it still isn't fast enough. I've tried using willpower enchantments and I can't seem to notice a difference. The reason I ask this, is when I wore the Holy Crusader Armor instead of my Fortify Magica Daedric Armor, the Magic regenerated a lot faster, and it wasn't because I had less Magica, i know the difference when I have the Magic Fortification off, and it was still faster. The Crusader Armor has no Willpower enchantments, only Restoration Fortification with Resistance to Normal Weapon Enchantments. Anyone know why this is? Do I need to increase my Restoration and or Make Restoration enchanted armor? Or is this just some perk I haven't read about that is unique to the Crusader Armor?? Thanks and sorry for the long question. yeah speechcraft is easy to skill up. i just talk to a guard and keep him talking as quickly as possible. select the smallest wedge and follow it all the way around as quick as you can until he the disposition dips around 40, then try to raise it up to about 70 by selecting the wedges the right way. followed again by hitting the smaller wedge all the way around as quickly as you can. you can keep persuading them endlessly and you increase your speecraft pretty quickly. since it's one of my last major skills i and all i have left is personality and luck to max out i've been working on it little by little. and by the way, i've got several great spells i made that don't require a lot of magic to cast and do tons of damage, in fact it kills most enemies in just one spell for about 100 to cast. i was just wanting to make it faster to recharge if i could because i like to cast a lot of spells all at the same time and i usually have to wait a little bit longer than i'd like to do it all. that's all.
What are some Games with "epic" loot? I can't play WoW, the most addictive and fun game, period. Why is not important. But im looking for a game or games with a similiar aspect, EPIC LOOT. I'm looking for a game that has a big emphasive on items in game, things that are unique and not easily obtainable. I looked into Too Human for the 360 but didnt look that great to me. Im looking for a dungeon crawler that will last you hours, weeks, months, etc. with the ability to get rare and special weapons. Looking forward to Diablo 3 but i cant wait that long. I was looking at Dungeon Siege 2, which i had played before and enjoyed but managed to lose the discs. Can anyone help me out? (note: have and played fable 2, including the DLC, same thing with Oblivion.) The games can either be on the PC or 360, prefer PC. Thanks
liek my fairy tale? grammar errors? Once upon a time there lived, in the city of Smalltown, Iowa, typical teenage girl. The young girl’s name was Lindsey Smith. Lindsey was an average teenager with nothing really impressive about her. There wasn’t one ounce of her character that could be described as exemplary or extraordinary. She was a decent student, making the grades she needed to get by. Physically, she was really quite drab and not the least bit unique. Her straight, sandy-blonde hair was always tied back into a tight ponytail. She had a sallow face and jaundiced complexion; however, her light brown eyes were the most disappointing of her features. They always seemed so dead, void of any sort of emotion. Smalltown had Lindsey’s character pegged; everyone in town seemed to know what she was all about. If one were to ask a mailman, police officer, baker, store clerk, or anyone in town about Lindsey they would all have the same thing to say, “Lindsey Smith, who’s that?”. Lindsey would go to school every morning, go home every evening, and go to sleep every night wishing that someone really cared about her. One night, when the stars shone especially bright, Lindsey felt as though she couldn’t take it anymore. She burst out onto her balcony, unable to feel the bitter cold of the night in such a state of numbness. She shakily climbed on top of the iron railing and had every intention of plummeting into the oblivion below when all of a sudden she was caught off guard by what looked like an approaching train. She was blinded by this bright light and knocked backwards by its intensity. Lindsey awoke in the morning sprawled out on the stone balcony. She winced at the shooting pain of a splitting headache; however, pain was not the only emotion she felt. She felt strangely satisfied, confident, and maybe even a little happy. That morning at school she overheard, when walking past a group of giggling girls, about a new student from New York City. His name was Thomas O’Hara and he was the talk of the school. He was tall and handsome with chiseled features, jet-black hair, and honey-colored eyes. An apparent rebel, he was expelled from his high school in New York and sent to live with his grandparents in Smalltown. Lindsey saw him coming towards her down the hallway. She did what she always did when seeing someone that interested her; she dropped her gaze, quickened her pace, and avoided contact of any kind. She walked so ineptly and at such a quick pace that she actually was clumsily drifting towards him. They collided and an array of notebooks, papers, and writing utensils clattered around them onto the ground. Neither Tom nor Lindsey could hear the clattering of these meaningless items, the chattering of nearby students, or the constant giggling of the group of girls in the background. Lindsey was lost in his presence and he in the warmth that now radiated from her chestnut eyes with the intensity of a thousand stars. He fumbled awkwardly to collect her things, blushing with an embarrassment more powerful than he had ever felt before. She helped him and, with a bold confidence, mustered up the courage to speak to him. Lindsey found Tom extremely easy to talk to. With him she could be herself, speak what she had not even know that she felt, and share her passions. Tom found her amazing in every way. In his eyes she was wild, passionate, and beautiful. Soon the rest of the town began to notice Lindsey and how she had changed. Her sand-colored hair was no longer slicked back into a ponytail, but now flowed in thick waves that wildly wisped about in the wind as carelessly as desert sand. Her face was dotted with random freckles and her complexion radiated with a rosy tint. Her eyes, once her worst feature, were indescribable. They glowed with warmth never seen before and if one looked close enough, it was as though the entire universe was captured beneath those luminous, doe-shaped orbs.
