Why is Microsoft Publisher 2007's website design section more user friendly than MS Expression Web? Maybe Im not educated with Microsoft's Expression Web but for a simple HTML page is awfully difficult to get creative compared to MS Publisher. For example, you cant just drag and drop a rectangle box, then fill it in with a color. Or you cant create shape with a line tool. Am I just not seeing how to use, can all this be done in Expression Web?

I need some help in website design...? I work in one of six departments which all share the same website. Each department provides similar services and hosts similar events. Our webmasters over the entire site organized our links so they jump between departments to save efforton upkeep of redundant webpages. For instance, rather than have separate pages with a local map for each department, there is a map on one department's page that all the departments' links are connected to. Our department has come to find that the interlinked site is confusing and clients/school districts are accidentally registering for the other departments' events. I've been delegated the resonsibility to organize our section of website and solve this issue. Does anybody have experience managing a number of related site? How could we set our section of the site apart and avoid confusion. I've considered adding an image or tiling a watermark to the back of all our pages, any creative or effective ideas?

Student Web Design Firm Name? I'm looking for a name for a student website design firm that I'm starting. I am a complete noob to Web Design. Where can i begin to learn and for free? Hello. i am interested in Web Design, not only becasue there is always work found there since everyone wants their own cool website , but because i like the creative aspect of it. I want to learn how to make cool web pages with flash animations etc, and was considering going to school, but then learned that as long as you are good at it, you should be able to find work without paying 10k for a degree. Do I need a business permit or license? I want to start up a creative services business and offer things like website design, greeting cards, photography, and DVDs. It will be just me, no employees (for now). And I don't plan on making a lot of money at first, kinda just doing it for fun and for the learning experience. Where can I find really colorful car magnetic signs? Is there a website with more than 1 & 2-color templates? I own a small fitness spa, and I want to advertise with some really colorful, beautiful magnetic signs on the sides of my car and the company van. But every sign website I look at has these really dull, basic, one and two color magnetic templates. I'm no designer, but they all look so boring! Ideas for a website header? I am designing the website header and side bar for a website and i need some ideas. The website is about technology and computers. Ok creative types, help me out. Name for my website? I want to try to come up with something that represents my goals and beliefs on my website. I am a techie person who believes that "You shouldn't have to be an expert to be safe on a computer" (my slogan). My site is about consumer issues (issues like rebates, extended warranties, store policies) and citizen issues (laws, potentially dangerous (to privacy anyway) technologies) etc. The goal of my blog is to bring people snippets of news and current data so they don't have to read all the industry sources to get the major points. My site is designed to summarize issues and provide information in easy to digest ways. Most of all, my site is (and will always be) totally ad-service free. we are planning to get a website for our company...the S/W company we are dealing with is asking? firstly we have a full fledged website but the current company that manges it is charging us too much. We decided to get our website designed somewhat like that with all the hi tech features from another company ...I explanied all my requirements to them even reffered to a sample website...the guy whome i was communicating with ...asked for the source code for our current website...as a software team he shd be creative and deal with that ...is that ok for him to ask source code...as he has to do nothing after that , just copy paset it doent look professional. the current company that is hosting our website is having source code as we dnt have access to that .moreover we are just getting an estimate for price i dnt wnat to disclose source code. should i go with another company as this doesnt seem professional to ask for source code and admin area...

trying to build a website, can someone help? Ok, to make it short, I am trying to build a website for people like me(found out fiancee has been cheating on me since day one and not sure what to do), or trying to get some tips on how to find out if she/he is cheating etc. Basically it would be a supporting community/message board for people who was cheated on, with a broken heart, trying to find answers, advices, or just someone to talk to etc. I am in this kind of situation myself, so I understand the feeling and I am willing to devote lots of my free time to at least try to help other who are in the same situation. can a graphic design tutor or similar please read my personal statement? is it any good? would you let me on the course? Graphic Design is something I have always been interested in and I have never even thought to do anything else as a career. I love clever strap lines, beautiful images and clean crisp looking final pieces. In most graphic design briefs you have to work within a client's boundaries, however in my opinion within these constraints you have the flexibility to put your own stamp on the piece and to unleash your creative flair. I take pride in my work and enjoy the developmental process from initial idea to finished piece. I feel graphic design is a necessity and without it the world would be a very dull colourless place. I am a very creative person and this subject lets me use my imagination to create stimulating pieces of work which are visually pleasing to others, and that communicate a message to the viewer either via an image or type. Graphic Design is a passion of mine and I would love to turn my passion into a successful career. My favourite aspects of the subjects are typography, photography, image manipulation and advertising. I studied for a National Diploma in Graphic Design which I achieved in 2006. During this course I gained knowledge and skills in various aspects of graphic design and enjoyed every minute of it. I also gained skills that I can apply to everyday life: I am now more confident in my work, but also in myself. I learned how to manage my time effectively and how to work under pressure. After I finished the diploma I progressed to a degree course at Bradford College but unfortunately had to leave this programme as I became pregnant. Since then I have been raising my son in my home in Wakefield which is where I would like to stay whilst I am studying as i can get childcare here. I have a great range of interests but my main ones are art/design and photography. I enjoy being creative and letting my imagination run wild. At the moment I am planning a mural of an undersea world on my son's bedroom walls. In the past I have done a lot of art/design related projects: I designed a series of flyers and album covers for a friend's band and have designed tattoos for friends. I am an outgoing person who enjoys meeting new people. I am organized, good at time management and am, neigh, have to be, very reliable, as I manage my 6 month old son, my own home and my own personal goals. I am really looking forward to studying this subject as I really enjoyed the national diploma course and I think this course will give me the skills I need to progress into a successful career in this field, whilst being an enjoyable and productive experience.
