Can I use a cheaper grill for my outdoor kitchen? A builder in the area said he will only use the expensive grills and that we will have to spend at least $1800 on a grill. We want a nice outdoor kitchen but personally can not tell the difference between those and our $500 grill. How do I heat an outdoor porch? My outdoor dogs are getting old (one is 16 and blind) and I want them out of the weather. I tried keeping them in the kitchen last winter but I can't deal with all the dog hair, and the older one freaks out when we try to brush him or trim his fur. Indoor kitchen herb garden help? I love fresh herbs and have an outdoor kitchen herb garden in the spring and summer each year. So I've become spoiled and no longer want to use dried, store bought herbs. This year I decided to make one indoors. I planted seeds of common kitchen herbs (parsley, rosemary, marjoram, etc) per seed package directions. They are in small pots on my kitchen counter with a grow light over them. I watered them thoroughly two days ago when I planted the seeds and assume I should water them a bit each day. My questions: How long should it take before something green peeps out? Should I cover the pots with plastic wrap as suggested on one website to keep in moisture and heat? Anything else I should be doing. Thanks for any help. I've never done seeds before - have always planted plants in the outdoor garden.

Do you know what kind of outdoor outlet or outlet cover this is? I don't have a picture of it, but on the side of my house in the backyard, there is a circular white plastic cover with a square peg that protrudes from it. It looks like it might unscrew, but I wasn't able to do it by hand. Does anyone know what kind of gas or electrical or other outlet this may be covering? Or is it something else altogether? It looks like its on the opposite side of the wall from my kitchen if that helps. The plastic circle/cylinder diameter is about as big as my fist.

What are some easy and cheap Halloween OUTDOOR decorations for a kids party? I'm looking to decorate my back yard for a kids (2 year old) Halloween party. I don't have many trees in the middle of the yard so I can't really hang things. I have a few signs I am going to post, three tables with Halloween tablecloths and pumpkins and gords (sp?) as decorations but don't know what else to do. I don't want anything scary. Have any of you built an outdoor cattery? I was thinking I could buy a dog run and attach it to the wall outside my kitchen window. Then I would get a cat door for the window. I would get a tarp or something to cover the top of it. Then fill the inside with edible plants and climbing furniture. Any other ideas?

The circuit breaker box shows all is good. I tripped the one marked garage to make sure, re-set it, and still nothing. How do I remove silicone sealant over-applied to bathroom ceramic tiles? A poor finish with the wrong type of sealant; I want to use bathroom/kitchen sealant and not the outdoor uPVC silicone sealant. Our Cold tap has stopped working, but the hot works fine... whats wrong? Today our cold tap downstairs in the kitchen and outdoor tap stopped working, the tap turns without any resistance, but the hot one works absolutely fine.
