What are some good websites for information & pictures of remodeled small bathrooms using ceramic tile? I have looked at websites until it feels like my eyes are crossed but I haven't found any that have great information about small bathrooms. Most seem to concentrate on the large, expansive, wonderful bathrooms. I'd love one of those of course, but I don't have the space.

Two small bathrooms vs. One big Jack/Jill bathroom? I live in a home that previously had ~1350 sq ft and two small bathrooms (5x10 main hallway, and a "master bathroom" that's really only a shower and a toilet, with a double vanity outside of the actual master bathroom). I have finished the basement (to add about 800 more sq ft) and added a full bathroom down there, so should I make the tiny bathrooms on the first floor into a big jack/jill bathroom accessible as the master and main bathroom? Doing so would also allow us to add an acceptable amount of closet space in the master. I can do all the work myself, so it's just cost of materials. I plan on selling the house in 3-5 years and didn't know if having 2 vs. 3 full baths in a house this size really mattered. Renovating small house for resale and need an opinion on bathroom vs. bigger kitchen? We have just bought a small (480 sq ft) small house with no basement to renovate and resell. It has one bedroom, small living room and very small kitchen and even smaller bathroom. The lot is big so we have already dug a hole, poured foundation and are planning on moving the house on top of the new foundation. So, the basement will have 2 bedrooms, full bathroom, laundry room and the mainfloor bedroom will be opened up to make a bigger living room. Ok...here comes the question...would you take the bathroom out on the mainfloor and open the kitchen or would you take the tub out (it's only a 4 ft long old tub) and keep a bathroom upstairs and keep the small kitchen? Would you buy a house with really small bathrooms? Potential to enlarge in the future? I know its really silly to ask this but there is a house that is almost perfect.. though the bathrooms are tiny. There is potential to in the future, expand the full bath into part of the 1st living room but I am not sure how much $$ that takes- the tub is located along the wall we'd expand from. The master bath is only a 1/2 bath and there's not much room to expand that. The kitchen isn't perfect but can easily be expanded when we redo the cabinets in the future. Anyone know where I can get a small bath for a tiny bathroom?? My house has a tiny bathroom in it. At the moment there is a shower in it. A full length bath wont fit but my mother says that there is such a thing as a 'half-bath'... Basically just like a bath but (you guessed it) about half to 2/3 the length. How do i install bead board in a small bathroom? Do I make a pattern of the walls? I want to install bead board over the nasty, plastic faux marble walls in my bathroom. I do not think any amount of priming and painting would be able to adhere to this material - I've never even seen it before. There are joints where it meets that would show through paint too, so I am going to install bead board over it. It seems like the simplest solution. How do I do this? Do they sell it at Home Depot or Lowe's? Should I make a pattern to cut the boards out with or simply measure? Please Help, I can't stand the plastic walls anymore!!!

How difficult is it to remove a very old cast iron bathtub from a small bathroom? What actually goes into getting it out of the house? We want to update our bathroom and get rid of it. We will be knocking the tile tub surround out before we remove the tub (because that needs to be completely redone as well), so the tile is not an issue. How much do cast iron tubs weigh? I have a very small bathroom and I need to replace my cast iron bath as it is in bad condition.......problem is the size is 1400mm length and 580mm width and I cannot find a bath that size anywhere.
