Can anybody translate this into standard french for my homework? Thanks!? Dear Homes Abroad. I'm currently living in London and have my whole life. My family and I are moving to somewhere in the West of California (near the coast). I'm writing to you today to ask for help to find a new house to live in. At the moment I live in a five bedroom house, with two living rooms, a big kitchen and two bathrooms; it is a beautiful house however we have to move because of my Dad's work. Something we are looking for is a house that has the same amount of rooms as my current one and ideally even more and because California is a hot country, a swimming pool with a big garden would be ideal! My family and I would love an area that has welcoming and friendly people where the crime-rate is low. Because of my dad's work, it needs to be nearer the sea as he is a surfing teacher and is setting up his own teaching company. It would also be good if there was a local school in the area... It's not just me who would need schooling, it's my three other sibling too! When I went on holiday there last summer I loved it there and I'm really looking forward to moving there because the weather is beautiful, not always raining like here in London! Another reason is that the people in California seem a lot nicer and more friendly than the people in London do. After moving, of course I will miss all my friends and family, however I think it a great opportunity to start fresh and make even more friends! Hope to hear from you soon, Lucy.

Located strategically on Sheikh Zayed Road, my house is situated in close proximity to some of Dubai's famous sports, leisure and recreational facilities including Emirates Golf Club, The Montgomerie and several luxury beach resorts. Prestigious landmarks such as the Burj Al Arab and the eighth wonder of the world, the Palm Jumeirah, are minutes away. Indigo colored glass, aluminum and white steel are combined to form an outstanding and unique concept in modern architecture. The roof and a majority of the outside of the tower is covered in solar panels, which supplies more than 50% of the building's electricity needs. Soaring to an impressive 35 floors, my house rises majestically in the midst of an idyllic setting of tranquil waters and lush green lawns. The ground floor features appealing cafes and shops to entice tenants and visitors while manicured lawns, lakes and boulevards coalesce to ensure working in Indigo Icon is a delightful and productive experience. My house rises a magnificent 35-stories and is set among lush, green lawns and sparkling waterways; the perfect surroundings in which to conduct business. The residential part of the tower comprises 272 apartments in a combination of spacious studios, one, two, three-bedroom apartments, and duplex penthouses. Fully air-conditioned, the interior finishes are of the highest standard. Large balconies and terraces offer breathtaking views overlooking the picturesque lakes and wide expanses of lush greenery to the south and the Arabian Gulf and new Marina development to the north. The commercial part of the tower comprises 68 offices over 8 floors. The residential and commercial floors have separate entrances, ensuring residents have total privacy. This spectacular development offers impressive shopping and dining on the ground floor. Coffee shops look out onto landscaped gardens, all within a secure and peaceful community. My tower has a large undercover car park and additional spaces are provided for the exclusive use of tenants and their visitors. My tower even has an employees quarters. My part of the tower is one whole floor. It consists of all the normal rooms that you would expect in a house: a living room, den, dining room, kitchen, bathrooms, office/workspace,and my bedroom. There's even an entertainment center, library, and a game room. The living room and den have sofa sets, coffee tables, and TVs. The dining room has a very long table in it and has a red oak floor. The kitchen also has red oak floors, and it has all the high tech appliances in it. My bed room is very colorful and the walls are covered with various posters. My library is fairly small, but it has many books in it. THANKS!!
Help! Is this bedroom too small for a queen size bedroom set? I'm having trouble picturing furinture in empty bedrooms. What size bedroom (LxW) is ideal for a queen size bed and standard, 4 piece bedroom furniture set. Let's say: a queen size bed, 1 normal, square nightstand, a double sided drawer dresser, and a chest. Like this: In a room, say 13x11 will all that fit with room to move around or will you be rolling out of bed bumping into the dresser because it's just one foot from the bed? And so forth? Like this: http://www.thebedroomsets.com/product/louis-philippe-styled-trad-bedroom-set-coa-203980/ This set is the most traditional in size and look with the drawer handles. The way I see it, that bed is going to take up a 13x11 room and a nightstand will fit but the dresser and chest have no space in the room OR they will fit but it will be literally RIGHT next to the bedroom, half a foot away. Am I crazy or will all this fit comfortably and if you need to get up to go to the bathroom you're not bumping into furniture because it's all crammed?

The dresser will be used for clothes and the counter top for jewelry and perfume and stuff. The chest top will be used as a TV stand because a regular TV stand is useless. With the chest, you have drawers for extra clothes and stuff.
A question to liberals: Do you believe in freedom of association? Part 2? ***Standard Disclaimer*** I am not a republican. Now take a deep breath. This is not a trick question. Try not to accuse me of being a republican or talk about how Bush raped 10 boy scouts. Just answer the question. ***** Note that I am aware of current laws. Which one of the following scenarios do you think is immoral and/or should be illegal in your ideal world and why. A white man decides to rent out a room in his large house. He interviews several potential room mates, and chooses the only white applicant because he is only comfortable living with other white people because he believes it is safer that way. The same white man decides to rent out four more rooms in his large house, and after interviewing several applicants he again chooses only white men for the same reason. The man decides to turn his large house into a boarding house once again he chooses only white tenants. A woman decides to rent out a room in her large house. She interviews several potential room mates, and chooses the only female applicant because even though she doesn't share the same bathroom she believes it is unsafe for a woman to live in a house with a man that she doesn't know very well The same woman decides to rent out four more rooms in her large house, and after interviewing several applicants she again chooses only female applicants for the same reason. The woman decides to turn her large house into a boarding house for women only. She open advertises that only women are allowed to rent there.
so i am seeking serious advice? hi. my name is vince. i've been a lonely sort of man for a great deal of my life. it's not me, women love me to be perfectly frank, i'm highly attractive and my charm is without contest. the trouble rather is that with so many options, how am i supposed to know who to choose? so this is where i did something silly. i joined a ghostwhisperer fan club. i love the ghostwhisperer and i think that if ever there was a Perfect Relationship, it would be the one portrayed in that show. i did this to find women with common interests, who looked at relationships with common standards, and similarly i found a nice girl who was just as enthusiastic about the ghostwhisperer as i am, in the way that it's demonstrative of ideal love. instantly we became quite smitten with one another and since then, we've been entirely inseparable. a couple months ago though, she got raped (not by me). and what's more, she got herpes because of it. obviously the chance of me ever sleeping with her just flew out the window, and you'd think she would know that, being that she has herpes, but somehow she seems more inclined towards intimate affection lately. apparently after being raped she felt in need of that sort of..love. i don't want to be insensitive by rejecting her on the grounds that herpes is gross, nor do i want to end this relationship right now because she is in a position where it could lead to suicide, but i know it will end eventually, because now that she's been raped and has an STD i find her repulsive and annoying, and i want her out of my life and especially out of my bathroom as soon as possible. i'm going through disinfectant like crazy, i can't afford to keep buying it. but on the other hand, i'm afraid i'll never find someone who cares as much about the ghostwhisperer in terms of a guide to love, as she does, and i'll therefore always be unmarried and alone. i would be quite happy to marry her if she would just agree to stop touching me and coming near me. isn't that enough? if not, how do i end it without being too harsh about the rape and herpes stuff? jennifer love hewitt would've never done this to jim, i think that's the worst part of it all. =/
Do you think that the attitude of some rescue groups puts people off adopting? I should say that I do work for a rescue group as a foster carer. We have standards, each home is checked to make sure there is adequate fencing, shelter etc. We ask that the dogs be allowed inside at least when the owners are home and that they sleep indoors - bathroom or laundry is fine. We do screen the potential adopters. But, some rescue groups seem to go to ridiculous lengths. No kids, can't work full time, must have massive backyard, must agree to feed raw food or whatever. The way I see it is, isn't a warm home with a loving family where the dog is alone for 7 hours a day better than being put to sleep, or left in a shelter? Of course an ideal home might be an older retired lady, 3 walks a day, inside all day etc. But there are so many homeless dogs, if you reject every decent person looking for a dog on the basis of having kids or having to go to work then thousands of dogs end up homeless. Dogs that could have had a very happy and fulfilling life. So. What are your thoughts and experiences?
Can u proof read this essay and comment and change my errors/ use beter word if needed?-Part 2? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AtRLD9ZzUWdEnV7khUBZm9Psy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20081015021303AARNXUR - tat link to the first part of my essay ( introduction and 1 body paragraph ... if u want to read it of course) Unfortunately, during the past few years -- especially these two years--i, myself, had many difficulties that influenced me to become a compulsive exerciser which "cause long-lasting health problems..."(58). During high school at Milpitas, in San Jose, CA, i join a Track and Field team. In order to be on the team and represent our school, we must reach a requirement that the coach previously had set up in the past. Each day our coach made us ran from 3:00 pm, when school's out, until 6:00pm at night. I can recall the first day of running; it was the worst incensed running in the history of my life. This was where my compulsive exercising started. Although, i won a medal at CCS(Central Coast Section-- also known asa competition of the best of the best athlete in one area), it was not enough for my coach, coach Pham. He said, " i've expected more from you." i knew that its was another way to say congratulations because he has extremely high standards; therefore, he would forced us to train in the morning, even though we trained in the afternoon. Soon after a month of running, i started to feel tired and overwhelming lack of energy. Because iron helps the body to be less tired, i thought my body was missing; nonetheless, it was not that. I did what most teenager dos, ignored the facts and obeyed the coach. He said " It's noting!" - he was angry because i asked him about about my condition a couple times. Ironically, i believed coach Pham and kept running. Soon afterwards, when i got home on a Monday night, my mom realized that i was paler than usual. As soon as she said that, i ran into the bathroom and noticed that i was paler, and skinnier than before; therefore i yanked out a scale and weighed myself. "100lbs!" i exclamed. The doctor diagnose me with an eating disorder. He explained that i was not consuming enough Calcium; thus, compulsive running had impaired my abilities to losed track of my outstanding health and; concequently, caused me to be in the hospital for weeks. Binge eating, anorexia, bulimia, and compulsive exercising are various factors that contributed to eating disorders. the obsession of achieving perfection promotes the body to do outrageous scenarios that can cause a permanent damage to the human body. The crucial attention on promoting the perfect Body Images has impaired our visions of perfections. The perceptions of television and exercises has significantly become the main problems of eating disorder. Now, people do not have to achieve the new ideal image, if this knowledge of binge eat, anorexia, bulimia and compulsive exercise gets out.
